How the OmniGEO score is calculated
Method v1.0 · Updated 14 October 2026
Every page scan returns a GEO score out of 100. The formula is public so you can check every point: the score is the sum of five weighted dimensions, minus fixed penalties for problems we can detect directly in your page.
The formula
GEO score = Σ (dimension score × weight) − penalties
Each dimension is scored 0–100. The result is rounded and kept between 0 and 100.
Five dimensions
| Dimension | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Structured data | 25% | JSON-LD that tells AI engines who you are, what you sell and which questions you answer. |
| Entity clarity | 20% | Whether your company, products and sector are named clearly and consistently. |
| Citation signals | 20% | Sources, data, dates and references that make a page safe for an AI to quote. |
| Content authority | 20% | Depth, expertise and specificity of the page for its topic. |
| Crawlability | 15% | Whether AI crawlers can read the page from its raw HTML. |
Penalties
These are measured directly from your page's HTML, not judged by an AI.
| No JSON-LD in the page head | -8 |
| Page appears to need JavaScript to show its text | -6 |
| Thin content (under 300 words) | -5 |
| Embedded video without VideoObject markup | -4 |
| Long article with no visible date | -3 |
| No canonical link | -2 |
Which AI engines we check
Prompt tracking runs on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and DeepSeek, depending on your plan.
Fixes and expert recheck
Each scan comes with ready-to-paste fixes: JSON-LD, meta description and AI-ready rewrites. When you apply them, an expert rechecks the page within 48 hours.
Changes to this method
When the weights or penalties change, we update the version number and date at the top of this page.
